This Summer, Give Hunger A Break! With the help of your donation, each child on the NourishNC BackPack Program is provided three nutritious meals a day, healthy snacks, milk, bread, and fresh produce for their entire break!
It costs NourishNC $135 to feed each of the 1,000+ kids on the BackPack Program. Your donation of any amount will help provide nearly 200,000 meals for our community’s most vulnerable children.
Summer Break is no picnic for the children served by our Backpack Program. Most children count down the days to vacation, but chronically hungry kids may anxiously count the numbers of meals they’ll miss when school is out. NourishNC fights Summer Hunger by providing the 1,000+ children we serve with 3 nutritious meals a day, milk, juice, healthy snacks, frozen turkey, bread, and fresh produce.
