  • Feed A Child Over Summer Break

    Suggested Donation: $35.00
Summer Break is no picnic for food-insecure children during a "normal" year, but all the setbacks due to COVID-19 have exacerbated the needs of our community's kids. Most children count down the days to vacation, but chronically hungry kids may anxiously count the numbers of meals they’ll miss when school is out. NourishNC fights Summer Hunger by providing the 1,500+ children we serve with 3 nutritious meals a day, milk, juice, healthy snacks, frozen proteins (turkey, chicken, etc), bread, eggs, and fresh produce. It costs NourishNC $135 to feed each of the 1,500+ kids on the BackPack Program. Your donation of any amount will help provide full bellies all Summer long for our community’s most vulnerable children.

  • You can help put food insecurity on vacation with our Spring Break box! For just $35, you can sponsor a child's grocery box, which will keep them full during their whole break. This box provides three nutritious meals a day, healthy snacks, milk, wheat bread, a frozen protein, and fresh produce for the entire break! We've got more kids on the BackPack Program than ever, so we need your support!
  • NourishNC has been providing our kids with groceries to keep their bellies full and keep their brains firing on all cylinders while they learn from home. For just $25, you can help keep these kids fed by sponsoring a WEEK's worth of healthy meals, snacks, produce, meat, and bread for a child in our area (a $35 value!). Each child receives two week's worth of groceries, twice a month through our no-contact drive-thru, where they are also provided additional resources like face masks, school supplies, books, sporting equipment, and so much more.
  • Provide a child with 8 meals, snacks, juice or milk, and fresh produce for a weekend! Each bag is strategically packed with kid-approved, dietician-reviewed meals, and snacks. The bag is black so other children cannot see what is inside and it is placed in the child's backpack while they are out of the classroom. Many kids themselves do not realize they are on the Backpack Program, let alone their classmates.
