The Mobile Market on Market (Mobile MoM) is a custom-built market that revolutionizes nourishment for food-insecure children and their families by providing groceries right where they live, learn and play.
The Mobile MoM takes the best part of our existing “Market on Market” (MoM) but meets food-insecure children and their families right at their point of need. The Mobile MoM focuses on feeding children in food deserts, under-resourced neighborhoods, and select schools. It features a wide variety of fresh fruits and veggies, dairy, eggs, bread, meat, and nonperishable items.
Bringing fresh, healthy food directly to families who need it most – because everyone deserves access to nutritious meals.
How It Works
- NourishNC works with its vast partner network of schools, nonprofits, and community centers, and churches to select the best locations for the Mobile MoM. For the 2024-25 school year, the Mobile MoM will be anchored at Johnson Pre-K with the goal of ending food insecurity at that school.
